Here's to you all of how this whole thing started. It was a dark period in my life. I was taking care of my grandmother. I was in a depression. I had a lot going on in my personal life that caused me to feel alone. My grandmother had an accident that caused her to be bed ridden. It was very challenging in this circumstance. So I did what I could to keep my spirits up.
She always wanted to watch the show "Family Matters" on ABC Family. One day a few days after my birthday an advertisement popped up. "Coming June 26, Kyle XY." Seeing a few clips of this upcoming show made me leap for jpy. I said "I'm going to watch this show! Right up my alley! Anything that deals with SCI FI and mystery I love." While deep dpwn in my soul, had the feeling something wonderful is going to come.
Waiting patiently, I watched "Family Matters" with my grandmother eager to see any new footage of this upcoming series. I was all excited! I wanted to know the name of this mysterious boy with no belly button. "Who is this guy? What other projects has he worked on? How old is he? He's cute!"
Then one day the announcer revealed the name of this mysterious boy with no belly-button. "Matt Dallas." I thought, huh!? Out of all the names it had to Matt!" On top of that images came flowing through my head. The name Dallas I saw cowboy hats, horses, country and western music. Because there is a place here in Texas called Dallas.
The day ther pilot aired my grandmother was in the hospital getting surgery. Waiting to hear any news on her updates. I was home alone watching this handsome young man's performance. "There were no words to describe how I felt for this young man and the way he portrays his amazing performance. He touched my soul. Brought tears to my eyes. I felt such love and compassion for this guy. He moved me!"
It was during the scenes he was laughed at. By them bullies. Punced in the face by the head bully. Fell to the ground defenseless, looked up with blood on his face. In a zombie state as he peed on himself like an innocent child. He was unaware of what just happened.
Another memorable scene. He was playing on the computer. He heard the sound of music playing. Got up to follow where the sound was coming from. Enetering into the house as he saw a beautiful young lady playing the tune to "Cannon." Tears come pouring down his face. Made a wimper. The young lady turned swiftly. The frightened young man toppled and ran off to hide. "He nailed that right on! Showed the expression of his fear and the emotions."
There are several other parts throughout the show that are impactful but those two were the most. It was something that I have never seen in any type of programming that touches the human soul.
The most inspiring moment was when Nichole walked into a room where Kyle was tapping a crayon on a piece of paper. He held up the drawing an in my mind I saw as of he really drew this incredible piece of art. I was floored. It was so believeable. I thought, "I'm so inspired by this I want to do art in tha style!" So that's what caused me to be driven to do my art in that style."
Last of all. The most memorable, famous impactful scene was the warm welcoming of the family inviting Kyle to the dinner table along to Mike Suby's score "Welcome To The Family."
"I knew right then that this show was going to be special." ;)
